What is Somatic Coaching?
Somatic Coaching is a body-based approach to personal development that uses physical sensations, movement and awareness to create lasting change. It moves coaching beyond the traditional cognitive - conversational approach. With somatic coaching you rewire the nervous system to release stored tension and trauma, shift limiting beliefs, and improve emotional regulation.

What sessions look like
Sessions are 1:1 and usually last about an hour. We’ll start with 3 sessions over the course of 2 weeks. Enough to give you some momentum but not so much that you are overwhelmed.
The pandemic taught me that virtual sessions can be just as effective as in person - sometimes more so as you’ll be able to join from an environment you are familiar with, which the nervous system loves.
You’ll learn the science behind how somatic work rewires your nervous system. The really remarkable thing is that I don’t need to know what might have happened or what occurred. There’s no rehashing trauma or reliving experiences.
We work in the here & now with movement, visualization, imagination and exercises designed to bypass the cognitive, rational brain and bring us into the world of the felt-sense.
Our work will be supported by open communication, session recordings, AI enhanced notes and a folder full of reading materials.
There is nothing you need to prepare in advance.
I provide adaptive practices, encouragement and accountability that meet you where you are and moves as fast as you want to move towards your goals.

Much of our wiring - how we show up in the world today - was ‘installed’ before we were even conscious. At a young age our families, our communities, our culture laid out implicit and explicit rules and programming that run our lives today. The experiences we had and the messages we received can work - up to a point.
And because it happened beneath and before consciousness - our conscious, cognitive efforts can’t get at it through talk therapy or traditional coaching. We need an approach that works at a deeper level. We need tools and techniques that bring those unconscious responses and programs to light.
Our first language is body language.
The nervous system speaks the language of movement, emotion and sensation.
And it is through these elements that you can begin to communicate with your system.
